Suitcases for Kids
Suitcases for Kids is a community service project of Ruth's Cottage and The Patticake House. Donations are raised to support the provision of a large personalized duffel bag full of clothing, nigh wear, undergarments, and wish list items for foster youth in our Tifton Judicial Circuit Counties Tift, Irwin, Turner and Worth Counties. In the past we have also provided suitcases for children who are Ben Hill County foster youth. Children served in past year by Ruth's Cottage and The Patticake House are also provided with a case along with their siblings.
The 2015 Suitcases for Kids Project served a record number 419 children. This was possible only because of the loving and giving hearts of our communities. Gifts of service, time, talent and treasure worked together to make Christmas a true time of joy and happiness for a child who has suffered much during the year. There are many ways to support this event each year.
