There is no charge for tourists to take casual photos of the building or each other while                                      touring our historic site. 

                                                                                               

                                                                                                                                However, when a photographer (amateur, student or professional) has a subject or

                                                                                                                                subjects' posing for a portrait with the Monastery as the backdrop, then there is a $375                                                                                                                                    portrait fee for a three-hour photo session.

 

                                                                                                                               Like Vizcaya, and other museums, this is defined by special clothing and posing for                                                                                                                                             First Communion, Quince,  Sweet 16, prom, senior pictures, bridal, engagement,                                                                                                                                                 maternity and family group shots. 

 

                                                                                                                               The portrait fee is for one or two people only.  For example:  a bride and groom or an                                                                                                                                        engaged couple.  First Communion portraits are priced per child.

The Ancient Spanish Monastery is not a "venue" and we are not a business.  We are a Church. 

 

And that means every penny of the money you give to the Monastery goes to help preserve this architectural treasure and supports the programs we sponsor. Unlike businesses,  we don't pay stock-holders or dividends. So you are not supporting a business.
