Payment for service is to be made in advance. Prepay accounts will not receive monthly statements. Payments and account balance inquiries can be made at any Southern Pine office during regular working hours or anytime by phone by calling 844- 867-8989. Energy assistance payments will be credited to your account when agency payment is received by Southern Pine. Electric usage will be reconciled daily. When the credit amount on your account becomes ($10) or less, a notification via text and/or e-mail will be sent. If no payment is made before the balance reaches $0, service will automatically be disconnected. Service will automatically be restored when payments have been made that cause the account balance to reach a credit of at least ($20). Monthly facility charges, security light charges and any other miscellaneous items will continue to accrue while the meter is inactive until the meter has been inactive for a maximum of 30 days at which time the account will be finalized and all deposits and membership fees will be refunded. After an account has been finalized, the application and fees must be renewed before service will be restored. Prepay meter accounts are not subject to late fees or disconnect/reconnect fees. A security deposit of $50 and an energy credit of $50, in addition to any other applicable fees, will be required in order to participate in the prepay program. Anyone may request to return to standard billing after having been in the prepay program for at least 90 days. Prior to returning to standard billing, all requirements for standard billing must be met including full payment of deposit, if applicable, plus any past due amounts and fees required to connect standard service.
