Building Inspection
The Ottawa County Department of Building Inspection is responsible for the administration and enforcement of the applicable State of Ohio Building codes for residential, commercial and industrial construction, alteration & additions to all public and private buildings and structures. Building Codes provide the department’s Inspectors with guidelines to help ensure the health, safety, and welfare of Ottawa County residents and our guests. Certified by the State of Ohio, The Ottawa County Building Inspection Department provides Plan Review, Issues Plan Approvals and conducts Inspection Services for Building, Electrical, HVAC & Mechanical, Plumbing, Medical Gas & Pressure Piping and Fire Protection Systems, Code enforcement & information.
