Most Vets will only take care of dogs and cats. When it comes to birds, rabbits and rodents you enter the realm of the exotic pet. It isn’t just the rare or unusual animal you keep as a pet which is generally thought of as a wild species not typically kept as a pet. Commonly, the definition is an evolving one; some rodents, reptiles, and amphibians have become firmly enough established in the world of animal fancy to no longer be considered exotic.
Locally what determines more often than not what you have is an exotic pet or not depends on who will take care of its medical needs.
