About Port Clinton Police Department

The Port Clinton Police Department is looking for exceptional men and women interested in a career as an officer in a community-oriented police agency. The selection process consists of a written examination, and oral interview and a physical fitness test.

The written examination will be held on Saturday, September 17th, 2016 at 9:00 A.M. at the Port Clinton Senior Center, 320 East 3rd Street Port Clinton, Ohio. Applicants must show an Ohio drivers license to gain admittance to the examination. The physical agility examination will be conducted on Saturday, October 1st, 2016 at 9:00 A.M. at the Sandusky Police Department, 222 Meigs Street, Sandusky, Ohio 44870 with a rain date of Saturday, October 15th, 2016 at 9:00 A.M. for those passing the written test. Police Officer: The Port Clinton Civil Service Commission is announcing open competitive examinations for the position of Police Officer in the service of the City of Port Clinton.

Applications: must be picked up at Port Clinton City Hall, 1868 E. Perry Street, Port Clinton, Ohio (in person, no applications will be mailed) between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M. Monday through Friday. Applications will be available August 29th 2016 through September 13th, 2016. Applications for entrance to this examination must be returned in person no later than 4:00 P.M. on September 13th, 2016 along with a non-refundable application fee of $35.00, payable by cash or money order only.
