Welcome to Estherville Aviation. We are a small, family owned and operated fixed base operation (FBO) located at the Estherville, Iowa airport in northwest Iowa. Learn about the Estherville area Chamber of Commerce, of which we are a member, at www.estherville.org. The Chamber sponsors our annual July 4 flight breakfast that has been a tradition since 1948. The Estherville airport, KEST, is located 3 miles east of Estherville on highway 9, 15 miles east of the Iowa Great Lakes Region and Okoboji. Our GPS coordinates are: 43-24-26 north, 94-44-47 west.
Runways at Estherville are 34/16, 4797 feet long by 75 feet wide and is lighted and paved. Turf Runway 6/24 is 2985 feet long by 90 feet wide.
Estherville Aviation was founded in 1997 when Paul and Arlys Slaughter purchased Pritts Aviation from Steve and Diana Pritts who had operated the FBO for about 16 years. Paul and Arlys wanted to return to a smaller, rural community from where they were living in Michigan.
It was a good move and is a great place to live and raise a family. Two children, Luke and Emily also are part of our family operation. The small town life and farming community requires an emphasis on personal, friendly service. If someone has a bad experience, it is easy to become common knowledge so we strive for customer satisfaction. We try to treat others the way we would want to be treated. This philosophy has served us well.
