About Repton Civic Center

Hi from William & Terri!

Welcome to our Home in Repton, Alabama. We created this website to bring awareness to the Beautiful, Historical little Railroad Town we call Home!

In 1996, William & I married and I moved from my home town of Kissimmee, Florida to his residence in Repton. Williams family has a long, rich Repton history that dates back to the late 1800s-early 1900s.

While Williams childhood was spent between Monroeville, Alabama and the Farm at Repton, riding his pony Whirlaway, mine was spent, literally, inside Walt Disney World, the happiest place on earth! I can remember the day the Magic Kingdom opened, I was 6 years old, and the employees families were the first to walk through the gates of this Magical Place. And, I can still taste my delicious Birthday Cakes from Sara Lees on Main Street inside the Kingdom. I was an adult before I fully appreciated the childhood adventure that shaped my life and my attitude.

When I look at the little ghost town of Repton, I see Beauty! History! And enormous Potential!! When people are pessimistic about this project, I just smile and say Im from Disney World, I think anything is possible!

I am thankful to God for many things, the husband & home he has given me, the fact that YOU are interested enough to read this introduction and especially our tight, caring & strong community! Without them and their support, our restoration attempts for this little town would not be possible.

So in closing, stay tuned and watch us evolve. You can even be a part of this evolution, click on the Repton Restoration Society page. And, please BE OUR GUEST! Visit us anytime on the web, email us or better yet, come in person to fully appreciate the Repton Experience!

God Bless,

Terri Carter
