Friends of Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge

Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge is located approximately 15 miles east of Toledo, Ohio on the south shore of Lake Erie. It can be accessed by traveling east from Toledo on St. Rt. 2. The refuge entrance is one mile east of the junction of St. Rt. 590 and St. Rt. 2. Turn left into the refuge and follow the signs to the refuge headquarters or the hiking trails. The visitor center is open 7 days a week from 9 AM to 4 PM. The trails are open from dawn to dusk. Friends of Ottawa NWR is a non-profit 501(c)(3) cooperating association established in 1997 to promote the preservation of the natural and historical resources of the Refuge, foster its use and enjoyment by the public consistent with the protection and preservation of its environment, and engage in such educational, scientific, and civic activities as will assist the management of the refuge in carrying out its mandates. Through collaboration with the refuge and partners, Friends of Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge promotes and supports the Refuge Complex in its mission to conserve, protect, and enhance natural resources for the benefit of wildlife and people.

About Friends of Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge
