The Economic Development Department leads the City's business attraction and retention efforts, and is the point of contact for people seeking local assistance with site selection, market and demographic information, and business resources. The Department also manages entrepreneurial training and shop local programs, and serves as the City staff liaison for the Heritage District Citizens Advisory Committee and Industrial Development Authority (IDA) Board.
Maricopa is the only city in the nation bordered by two Native American communities and continues to honor and celebrate this cultural diversity and embraces the American ingenuity and pioneering spirit that has been an integral part of its community for centuries.
