MEDICAL SECRETARY
The Medical Secretary
Hospital Ward Clerk Program
provides students with the basic knowledge and skills needed to work at different hospitals and medical centers.
The skills that students learn to fall into four categories:

Comprehensive medical administrative knowledge including medical terminology, basic anatomy and physiology, pharmacology, and clinical procedures

Hospital administrative knowledge of nursing units, emergency response codes, and workplace ethics

Computer and office skills, including current software of Electronic Health Records, keyboarding skills, and bookkeeping

On-Site work training through participation in an externship program at a hospital
Career Opportunities:
After successful completion of the program, graduates become qualified to work in a wide variety of occupations with variable job titles which may include:

Hospital Ward Clerk / Unit Clerk

Ward clerk in outpatient clinics and departments
