The Shelby County Sheriff's Office will work with all municipalities and municipal law enforcement agencies within Shelby County to provide needed law enforcement services. The Shelby County Sheriff's Office, at the request of a municipal law enforcement agency, will provide assistance, as needed, to protect lives, property and the rights of all persons within the municipality. Furthermore, in municipalities with no municipal law enforcement agency, the Shelby County Sheriff's Office will be the primary law enforcement agency for the municipality and will handle all necessary law enforcement duties as quickly and professionally as possible.
