Volunteering at McKinley
We believe in the power of community – a power that comes from not only our full-time employees but also from those who volunteer at McKinley. Volunteering is a great way to give back to the community while also indulging in one of life’s greatest pleasures – helping those in need.
The volunteer program at McKinley is designed to enhance the programs and services of the center, while at the same time carrying through our mission of helping our children gain access to the skills, knowledge, and self-esteem essential to personal maturity and successful family functioning.
To support this mission, we have 4 main goals:
- To educate the community about the McKinley Children’s Center and establish broader community involvement
- To provide support to our staff
- To provide more services to our children
- To stretch McKinley’s limited resources
