Each year United Electric sponsors five scholarships. Three are in memory of former managers of Rural Electric and Unity Light & Power John Jones, manager of Unity from 1964 to 1991; Larry Burbank, manager of Rural Electric from 1985 to 1997; and Grant Saxton, manager of Unity from 1991 to 1995. United Electric sponsors the fourth scholarship. The fifth is a Non-Traditional student scholarship.
