Consulting – Most times customers know what they want to do but aren’t sure if that is the right thing or even if it will work on the site.  For a simple fixed fee, we will go on site with you and discuss your project’s viability.  Aesthetic concerns, setbacks, code compliance, soil contours, or if the practicality of adding on can be accomplished are the most common reasons we consult.

Master Planning – Do you have a project that will need phasing?  Every project is different, therefore requires different solutions.  We have experience in laying out developments that include more than one structure type.  A combination of townhomes with multi-housing for example can often provide the needed return for residential investments.  We can also recommend where to begin that downtown improvement project were phasing is critical.  Working with multiple building owners under one project can be challenging.  Curtis Architecture can provide insight within a large building where multiple functions occur.  Internal building planning is important relative to in-house functions and code compliance.

Development – If you are looking at investment projects, Curtis Architecture can often provide a unique insight.  Construction cost honesty is by far the most important information we can offer.  As investors we always want the best deal.  Buy low and sell high.  All too often I get customers who have talked to contractors who tell them what they want to hear.  We don’t do construction; therefore, we can be honest about the costs you will endure.  Investing in an architect’s opinion of costs will help you control your expenditures.  Having a complete set of drawings that are priced by a contractor allows for the owner to make changes relative to costs before construction starts or serious dollars spent.

Architectural services do not have to be expensive. In fact the first meeting to discuss your project will not cost you anything when we meet at our office to go over your wants and needs. As architects we will look at your project as a third party adviser, apart from the contractor or your personal experience. We can then recommend a direction for you to go, without bias or attempting to secure a future job. Our sales atmosphere and philosophy is pressure free. We are primarily interested in building a trustworthy relationship that will last for years to follow. We want you to have a great experience with Curtis Architecture regardless if we do a project together or not.
