The purpose of Construction Surveying Services at EMC Engineering is to provide timely and quality construction staking to contractors and owners. The best-planned construction projects do not ensure a successful finished project without the accurate interpretation of the construction drawings by a contractor. In order for the lines and grades shown on construction documents to become a reality, they must first be established in the field. Construction staking involves the interpretation of construction drawings, the verification of the project control, and the establishment of locations and elevations of the proposed features.

Specific services vary from constructability reviews of construction drawings to as-built verification surveys of completed projects. EMC provides these services for residential, commercial, institutional and industrial land developments in addition to transportation, drainage, and environmental projects. Our clientele includes contractors, owners, and engineers. Providing these services are experienced professional land surveyors, survey technicians, and survey crews. They utilize state-of-the-art equipment and software for these construction staking projects including: Sokia and Topcom Total Stations, Data Collectors, and Trimble 4800 Global Positioning System.
