Transportation Engineering Services at EMC Engineering are provided to design and develop construction documents for transportation projects. Our aging system of highways, roads, and streets is constantly in need of upgrades to keep pace with the increased demands by commercial interests and the traveling public. Enhancement of the transportation infrastructure has become increasingly more difficult and expensive because of environmental regulations, and impacts to improvements along existing roadway corridors. Transportation enhancement projects are necessary to increase capacity and safety while minimizing impacts to the adjoining natural and man-made environment. EMC provides professional surveyors, environmental specialists, engineers, and construction managers to plan, design, and assist in the construction of transportation projects.

Our services vary from conceptual layouts to final construction and right-of-way plans. Transportation projects include urban freeways, rural highways, city streets, and county roads on new alignment and those to be widened and reconstructed. Our clientele includes federal and state agencies, counties, municipalities, as well as industrial, commercial and residential clients from the private sector. Pre-qualified with the Georgia Department of Transportation since 1987, EMC has successfully completed numerous GDOT Design projects as the prime consultant or as a sub-consultant. Providing these services are experienced professional engineers and engineering technicians. Our staff utilizes state-of-the-art computer hardware and software for these transportation projects including: AutoCAD Civil 3D, Autodesk Vehicle Tracking, CAiCE Visual Transportation, Microstation, and HCS2000.
