As a Nationally recognized Comprehensive Community Cancer Center, Antelope Valley Hospital (AVH) provides complete and personalized cancer care from screening to diagnosis to treatment and survivorship. We are dedicated to guiding and supporting each patient and their family through the entire process.

Patients receive comprehensive care, focusing on prevention, screening, early detection, cancer staging, a full complement of chemotherapy protocols, radiation oncology services, surgery, including robotic surgery, and hormone therapy as required. We also offer rehabilitation, lifelong follow-up for recurrent disease and end-of-life care. Patients have access to information on clinical trials and new treatments, genetic counseling, psychosocial support, a patient navigator and a survivorship care plan.

Our multidisciplinary team of medical and radiation oncologists, surgeons, pathologists, diagnostic radiologists, oncology certified staff nurses and other specialists collaborate to determine the best course of treatment resulting in improved patient care and better outcomes.

The Antelope Valley has the highest rate of stage 3 and 4 diagnoses of prostate, lung and colorectal cancers in all of Los Angeles County. The local area also has the second highest death rate from lung and colon cancers. In an effort to help reduce these statistics, we offer annual cancer screening and education events to the community as well as an annual cancer symposium for healthcare professionals.
