The Sylvester Farmers Market is held weekly on Saturdays from 9 a.m. -1 p.m.  at the old Train Depot.  During market hours visitors can find a variety of homegrown and fresh products. The vision for the Farmers market began several years ago when local farmers saw a need for a venue to sell their products and from this vision the Farmers Market grew into that it is today. During market days shoppers can sample items and learn alternative ways of preparing them items available for purchase. Vendors for this market come from Worth, Crisp, Mitchell, Tift, Lee, Dougherty, Colquitt and Turner Counties. This culturally unique group ensures that products offered are fresh, nutritional and affordable for all market patrons.

If you or someone you know may be interested in participating in the market please know that no amount is too small and you are not required to attend every week. The market encourages the small farmers to the backyard enthusiast to participate. During the season there will be something special the first Saturday of every month so be sure to check out the Downtown Sylvester Farmers Market Facebook page for more information about upcoming activities and products that will be available.   For more information on how to participate in the Farmers Market contact Market Manager, Jana Dyke at 229-238-1685.
