Contraband Prevention
This past weekend, the Department saw a number of visitors arrested for attempting to introduce contraband into facilities. Items seized included illegal drugs, cigarettes, and cellphones. FDC is extremely proud of our staff for their diligence in keeping this contraband out of our institutions.
Contraband prevention is a top priority for the Department. In April of 2016, the Department’s Office of Intelligence was created to better aid in operations such as contraband interdiction.
Any visitor, inmate or staff member attempting to introduce contraband will be investigated and can face criminal charges by the Department and local law enforcement.
