Alabama River Pulp is one of the largest pulp mills in North America. Its mill has two production lines, manufacturing hardwood and softwood pulps, which gives it the flexibility to respond to market needs. ARP is a global business with sales in 20 countries heavily focused in Europe and Asia. The company is located near the Alabama Port in Mobile, Ala., and has 550 employees with an annual payroll of $52 million. ARP s pulps are used in such products as printing and writing papers, tissue, paper towels, magazines, filters, diapers, currency food additives and many others.
