Joshua Wood - CEO
Joshua Wood is the Chief Executive Officer of Region Business, a 501c(6), not-for-profit trade association and coalition comprised of a dozen local trade and professional associations working together to advance regional economic growth. Under his leadership, Region Builders has been dubbed a “wrecking ball power player on development issues¹” for its effectiveness in developing strong, bi-partisan, broad-based, regional coalitions that have successfully supported major economic development and regulatory reform policies.
As the current Executive Director for both The4000 and DowntownArena.org, Joshua is a prominent voice in support of the catalytic $11.5 billion in regional economic activity the Entertainment & Sports Complex will generate. Mr. Wood is also former committee member for Here We Build, another regional initiative supporting an Entertainment & Sports Complex.
Mr. Wood serves on the Board of Directors of Chairman of Sonder Solutions, Editorial Board Member for Comstock’s Magazine, the Board Member for the Rancho Cordova Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Wood has served on other local non-profit boards including All About Sacramento, Capitol Public Radio and University Enterprises, Inc. Joshua also served as chairman for a Sacramento County Planning Commission.
In 2013, Mr. Wood was named as one of the “Top 40 under 40²” years by the Sacramento Business Journal. He is a Nehemiah Emerging Leaders Program fellow.
Joshua and his wife Anjeleeca have four children.
