My life has been blessed by my five great kids - three sons and two nieces, who have all worked hard and lead fulfilling, successful lives.

I taught school for 55 years and had the fortune of working with some amazing teachers and students.  Many of the kids have stayed in touch with me over the years.  Seeing them succeed and become responsible, wonderful people has enriched my life beyond all expectations, and has shown me what teaching is all about.

Over the years I have raised horses, cows, pigs, and goats.  My passion since I was eight years old has always been the love of animals and the desert.

I have forever been an avid reader, writer of stories, poetry, and music.  I attribute my love of the arts to all the teachers who encouraged me throughout my life.

Today, I live in Reno with my Springer Spaniel, Chewy, who loves to explore the desert with me.  Besides photography and writing, I enjoy music, reading, and visiting teacher-pals from days gone by.  I love to hear stories from strangers who become instant friends, and my life has been greatly enriched by all the wonderful people I have met.
