Dr. J. David Schillen, MD
Dr. Schillen works in the Specialty clinic every other Monday and performs scheduled surgeries on Tuesday of the same wseek. Dr. Schillen specializes in sports injuries comes to us from his Clinic, Shasta Orthopaedics in Redding, CA
Dr. Steen Jensen, MD
Dr. Jensen sees his Lake Almanor Basin patients each Thursday. He performs scheduled surgeries in the mornings and he sees his patients for regular clinic visits in the afternoons.

Welcome to Seneca Healthcare District. Seneca Healthcare District was formed in 1947 as an independent special district to meet the needs of our rural community. The hospital opened the doors to patients in 1954. The Skilled Nursing Facility admitted the first patient in 1976. The hospital based rural health clinic was built in 1996. SHD received Critical Access Hospital designation in 2007. SHD is a non-profit governmental entity supported by tax dollars. The mission of SHD: to deliver high quality comprehensive services with excellence, compassion and competence, meeting or exceeding the expectations of the community we serve. Our staff and providers are dedicated to being the leaders in rural healthcare by providing safe and effective quality health and wellness care. As CEO I have a passion and drive for rural healthcare, my career started as a certified nursing assistant many years ago.
