Housing Programs

C.E.F.S. is a HUD Certified Housing Counseling Agency and offers several workshops to meet the needs of participants in all stages of the home buying and homeownership process.  Workshops covering financial and student needs are also available.  C.E.F.S. provides homebuyers/homeowners education and a certificate required by many lenders.  

Homebuyer Education Workshops review the topics of qualifying for a home loan, house hunting, finding a lender, and being a homeowner.  This workshop meets the criteria for the training required by many lenders for first-time homebuyers.  A certificate will be provided at the completion of the course.  A fee is $75.

Post Purchase Workshops focus on budgeting and sound financial behaviors including "do it yourself" type workshops to educate homeowners on maintenance and repairs that must be done to protect their investments.  A fee is determined based on activities of the workshop.

Financial Capabilities Workshops provide participants with the skills to better manage or maximize their funds, credit, and savings.  No fee.
