Tree of Remembrance

We experience momentos and reminders of the days gone by.

May you find a balance between fond memories of the past

and the future brought by each new day.

Annual Tree of Remembrance Service

Overton Funeral Home honors the memory of loved ones who have died the past year, starting count shortly before Thanksgiving, with a remembrance service held in December.  During the service an individualized ornament, given to each family, is to be placed on the Tree of Remembrance in celebration of their loved one’s life and memories.  All family and friends are invited to attend.

For the staff of Overton Funeral Home, this event is cherished each year.  Coming together to remember our losses creates the opportunity to find comfort and healing.  This time allows the bereaved to gather together to honor their loved one(s) and share experiences with others who understand their grief. It also gives families a place to come where their feelings of loss are acknowledged and recognized.

Please Remember. . . you are not alone. There is no right or wrong way to grieve or time limit to the grieving process. Grief is as individual as each person going through it.

Refreshments are served following the service and conclusion of the event.

All those attending are requested to contact the funeral home in advance of the event to assure their loved one’s ornament is labeled.
